B&L First Aid Training and Consultancy

Our aim at B&L Training is to provide excellent first aid training at an affordable price. We will train your staff in your own premises, so eliminating unnecessary travel, at times to suit your requirements, including weekends.

Members of our staff have trained in a variety of work location including factories, engineering works, schools, offices, dental surgeries and nurseries. They are also able to help you through the legal requirements of first aid training for your specific needs.

Leaders of youth organisations have been trained to the standard required by their parent organisation.

2 Day HSE FAW Re-qualification

2 Day Paediatric First Aid
4 Hour AED Training
Scout/Guide First Response.

Courses are fully compliant with HSE and other relevant regulations and guidelines but offer significant savings against equivalent courses offered by other well-known first aid training bodies. 3 Day First Aid at Work.

A course of 18 hour (plus breaks) run over 3 days. Subjects that are covered are those required by the H&SE and ensures that an employer complies with the requirement of the "Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981".
There is a final assessment of both theoretical and practical subjects.

2 Day First Aid at Work Requalification

A Course lasting 12 hours over 2 days for existing First Aiders who require to re-qualify after 3 years. A requirement of this course is that the certificate is still valid during the course. There is a final assessment of both theoretical and practical subjects.

1 Day Emergency First Aid at Work

An H&SE approved course lasting 6 hours (plus breaks). It covers the needs of organisation that have identified a need for a first aider but their risk assessment shows a low level of risk in the workplace.
Students are continuously assessed during the course (no final assessment)

Paediatric First Aid

This 12 hour (2 day)course is run for people working as child minders, nursery staff, school staff, playground staff and similar places. The content satisfies the needs of The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Ofsted. Students are continuously assessed during the course (no final assessment)

AED Training

A 4 hour course designed to give first aiders the knowledge and skills to use this life saving equipment. A pre-requisite of this course is that the candidate is fully competent to carry out CPR. Students are continuously assessed during the course (no final assessment)

Scout/Guide First Response

A 7 hour (plus break) course required by the Scout/Guide Associations for leaders to hold a leadership warrant.
